THE NUCLEAR FAMILY: Ascent of Man Diorama 12′ x 8′ x 4′ plexiglass/wood

The Nuclear Family: Ascent of Man” appropriates the museum display and immersion into the anthropological dioramas of 19th C. natural history. This collection of a human nuclear family and their strange, ambiguous and uncategorizable “specimens,” walking through a snowy landscape, evokes both wonder and disturbance and calls to mind Darwin’s Descent of Man while prompting reflection about the future state of our environment.
